Cute Winter Nails

Happy Mani Monday! How was your weekend? It was actually cold! The temperature is going back up later in the week, but I'll be Puerto Rico on Friday so it will be even warmer there :)

I am so so so excited about my festive and fun winter mani, despite the recent warm weather. I wanted to do something cute to show the kiddos before winter break, and these did not disappoint! My three little friends here are a polar bear, a snowman, and a penguin with a scarf. I can't help but smile when I look at these guys! Too stinking' adorable.

Hope you all have a great short week!

Marc Jacobs Wine Not

Happy Friday! Just two and a half days left next week and then it's time for a vacation. I'm so looking forward to having a little break.

Today I have on Marc Jacobs Wine Not, a deep pomegranate metallic shimmer. I can't say enough good things about this color. It's just gorgeous. I paired it with a little bit of Julep Diamond Theory.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Essie Go Ginza

Happy Mani Monday! We have so much going on at school since it's the last full week before break. Counting down the days!

I recently picked up Essie Go Ginza and, even though it's a lot lighter than the colors I normally wear this time of year, I just had to put it on! Go Ginza is a beautiful baby lavender that can sometimes look more white than purple. It's such a pretty color! I'm definitely excited to have this one in my collection. For a little something extra I used my gold flower stickers from Born Pretty Store.

Have you picked up any new polish lately that you just love? Let me know! Hope you all have a great week :)

Chanel Orage

Happy Friday! I'm so excited for the weekend. SLEEP!

Chanel Orage was calling my name today, even though I just had it on my nails recently. It's just so glossy and beautiful! The formula is self-leveling which makes it so easy to apply. This time I used Essie Set in Stone as a glitter accent.

I hope you all have a great weekend! And get outside, it's supposed to be in the 60s!

Hanukkah Mani

Happy Mani Monday and Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating! The BF and I had our first night of Hanukkah in the apartment last night with our electric menorah. We also had some latkes, of course.

I decided to do something simple on my nails this year for Hanukkah. I started with Essie Butler Please on all of my nails except my ring finger, which has Essie Urban Jungle as the base. I then created a Star of David using Julep Serena. I love how it came out!

Hope you all have a great start to your week!

Island Girl Old Lahina

Hey everyone! How was your week? It went by super fast for me. I'm super excited about today's mani because the polish came all the way from Hawaii!

My parents went on a big Hawaii vacation a couple weeks ago (yes, I was jealous) and my dad spotted some Island Girl nail polish while they were shopping. My mom picked out two colors for me - Old Lahina and Surfing Paradise. Today I'm wearing Old Lahina, a lovely rich red creme that is opaque in two coats. The dry time was ridiculously fast! I used Surfing Paradise, kind of a pinky nude, to do some Hawaiin flower nail art. I think it came out pretty cute!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Cindi Naturals Gold Rush

Happy Mani Monday! How was your Thanksgiving weekend? The BF and I were driving all over the place to see both of our families, but we had a great time. We also ate a ton of delicious food, which means this week we eat much lighter in preparation for our December trip to Puerto Rico!

Today I'm wearing a polish that the BF's mom actually gave me over the weekend from a salon brand called Cindi Naturals. The shade is Gold Rush and it's a gorgeous metallic gold shimmer. It was a little patchy on the first coat but was completely opaque after the second. It dried super quickly and the finish is just gorgeous.

Hope you all have a great week!

Thanksgiving Mani

Hey everyone! Happy almost Thanksgiving! I figured I would post this now in case I don't have a chance to do it tomorrow. We have a half day of school tomorrow which will be a lovely way to start the four day weekend.

For my nails this year I of course wanted to use my cute little turkey again. This time I used Zoya Margo and a glitter accent with Julep Jane and Autumn. So excited about how it came out!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! See you next week.

OPI Give Me Space & Comet Closer

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was jam packed. My brother and I went to see one of our favorite bands, Guster, on Saturday night and then on Sunday we went to see Mockingjay part 2. I wasn't super impressed by the movie unfortunately, but the concert was great!

Today I've finally got some nail art going on. I started with OPI Give Me Space as my base. This one is a deep scattered blue holo, which is kind of hard to see in the pictures but if you get this one out in the sun it's gorgeous! Since these polishes are from the Starlight Collection, I went with some twinkling stars using OPI Comet Closer. Not gonna lie guys, I only did the stars on one hand. Sorry not sorry! I think it came out pretty cool.

The full Starlight Collection features 18 shades that range from classic to cosmic. It includes everything from subtle shimmer to all-out sparkle! The Starlight Collection is available now. You can check out the rest of the polishes here or for purchase at Ulta.com.

Hope you all have a great start to your week!

Hask Keratin Smoothing Hair Collection Review

Hey everyone! I recently received some Hask hair products and have been using them for the past week so I could give you my full and honest review.

Btw, is that bag not just so cute?!

"Are color treatments, blow drying, and hot irons leaving your hair lifeless and drab? We feel your pain! That's why Keratin is a key ingredient in HASK products. Keratin Protein is the stuff your hair, skin, and nails are made of. No wonder it's so powerful and restorative for your hair. Keratin revives, restores, calms and strengthens parched, frizzy locks-wiping out the effects of heat, humidity and over-styling (basically helping your hair look and feel its best). What can't Keratin do, you ask? Hold the curling iron for you, but that's about it. Making HASK Keratin Protein products a part of your daily beauty routine can help revitalize and condition that hair of yours, all while sealing in moisture and shine!"

Keratin Smoothing Shine Treatment

This lightweight, alcohol-free instantly absorbing oil provides a gorgeous shine with no oily residue. Infused with hydrolyzed keratin to smooth and reduce frizz, this oil penetrates hair to leave frizzy, dry hair soft, smooth and incredibly shiny."

The verdict: I want to start by saying that after the first time I used the shampoo and conditioner, the BF could not stop touching my hair. He loved how soft it was! (As did I). I noticed less fly aways and frizz after using these products, and my hair looked shinier and healthier. I was very worried about using the shine treatment, as my hair is naturally oily, but after a full day my hair definitely was not greasy! The last product I tested out was the deep conditioner. It was a lovely treat for my hair, though probably not something I would work into my usual routine. Too lazy lol let's be honest. I can't wait to check out some of the other products in the Hask line!

You can learn more about these products on haskbeauty.com. They have a whole range for all types of hair! So what do you think? Will you be giving any of these products a try? Let me know!

Marc Jacobs Petra

Hey everyone! I haven't posted in forever, things at school have just been so busy. Happy to have painted nails again for sure.

I finally pulled out Marc Jacobs Petra again, totally forgot how gorgeous it is! Petra is a dirty bronze metallic that shifts from silvery plum to a gold burgundy depending on the light. I can't say enough how much I love the Marc Jacobs formula and the packaging.

Hoping to do some nail art at the end of the week! And a hair product review still to come.

Chanel Taboo & Julep Betty

Hey everyone! How was your Halloweekend? We had a few people over and went to the Biergarten next to our apartment. My friend helped me pick out a hat at the mall so I wore that and some flash tattoos haha. Instant Halloween costume! Even though I didn't really dress up, it was fun seeing other people come into the bar with costumes.

For today's mani I used Chanel Taboo, which is so lovely but never wants to show its beauty on camera! I realized that Julep Betty (on my ring finger) totally matches the way Taboo looks in the bottle. Loving this combo!

Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

OPI Holiday 2015 Starlight Collection Swatch and Review

Hey everyone! So last week I found out that as part of the Preen.me VIP program I would be receiving six shades from the OPI Holiday 2015 Starlight Collection. Today's post will just be swatches, and later on I'll do some nail art looks in another post.

The full Starlight Collection features 18 shades that range from classic to cosmic. It includes everything from subtle shimmer to all-out sparkle!

Love is in My Cards - This is an easy two-coat red that is glossy even without a top coat. I honestly don't have too much to say about it because I think we've all seen a red like this before. If you have a good red in your collection already, you probably don't need to run out and get this one.

Next is Let Your Love Shine - Now THIS is my kind of red. Deep, glittery, sparkly perfection. And two coats! I love that this is a smooth and glossy glitter even without a top coat.

Comet Closer - I love this one! It may be my favorite from the bunch. This is a cool gold with almost a satiny finish. No top coat here, but you can still see how shiny it is.

Two Wrongs Don't Make a Meteorite - I'm really not sure how I feel about this glitter topper. It's kind of...weird? Probably not a glitter I would wear. I think the shapes are throwing me off.

Super Star Status - This one has that liquid sand texture, which I typically don't like, but this one I happen to be drawn to. I think it would be gorgeous over a silver foil polish! There's no top coat here and I would definitely recommend several coats of top coat if you're not into the texture thing.

Give Me Space - Oooooh ahhhhh. Okay, I think this is my favorite of the bunch (sorry Comet Closer!) This is a deep scattered blue holo, though the holo is a little difficult to see in the pictures. If you get just one polish from this collection, I definitely recommend this one. And as soon as you've got it on, stand out in the sun and prepare to be amazed.

The Starlight Collection is available now. You can check out the rest of the polishes here or for purchase at Ulta.com.

What do you guys think? Is there anything that caught your eye and you need to run out and get? Or is this collection a total miss for you? Let me know!
