ILNP Black Orchid & Champagne Blush

Hey everyone! It feels like I haven't posted a mani in forever. I had not one, but TWO broken nails this week. Ugh! I've been using my Julep Oxygen Treatment and a ton of cuticle cream/oil and finally decided to put some polish on.

This week I got two polishes in the mail from ILNP and they are total stunnas! Black Orchid is a deep burgundy/purple holo and it is sexy as hell. It looks amazing in any light. Dare I say I've found a new favorite? (Sorry Zoya Aurora!) I used Champagne Blush, a rose gold holo, as my accent nail. I used Black Orchid to make a heart since this weekend is my four year anniversary with the BF. This is the kind of mani that will make me a dangerous driver because I can't stop staring at my nails. The formula was an absolute dream to apply. I used the holo sandwich method (base coat, color, base coat, color) because top coat can dull the holo effect.

I took one photo in artificial light to show the difference in sparkle when this polish isn't under the sun.

For the heart I cut the shape out of a piece of washi tape (less sticky than regular tape) and placed it over my nail once the polish was dry. I swiped on a coat of Black Orchid and immediately removed the tape, leaving me with a perfect heart! This is a great method if you don't want to free hand a heart.

I hope you all have a quick and easy Friday and a great weekend!

xoxo,
   Brooke
