Flower Nail Art

Hey everyone! Hope you've had a great week. Yesterday I had my hair and makeup trial for the wedding. I honestly didn't know what to expect because I've never had my makeup done by a makeup artist before. It went pretty well! I am gonna have to bring my own eyeshadows to the wedding though because when I took my makeup off last night my eyelids were so irritated :(

I wanted to do some pretty nail art for the weekend so I went with flowers. These are actually so easy to do as long as you have some time and patience! If you're short on time you could even just do one or two nails. For my base color I used two coats GlitterDaze Sky's The Limit, a beautiful pale blue creme. To make the flowers I used my double ended dotting/thin brush tool from Born Pretty Store. I started by using the dotting tool and a light pink to make uneven dots on each nail. There's really no rhyme or reason to these, you can do whatever size you want and the shape doesn't have to be a perfect circle. Once I had both nails covered, I used a thin brush and a darker pink to make curved lines around and inside the circles. The last step was making leaves around the flowers with a darker green. I chose to go in with a lighter green over top at the end, but you could totally skip that step.

And there you have it! You could do this look with endless color combinations for any season, which is why it's so great. Hope you all have a great weekend!

ILNP Paige

Hey everyone! Are you having a good week? The weather has been kind of blah the past couple of days but it looks beautiful this morning so I'll definitely be heading out to the pool.

Last night I had this idea in my head to do mermaid nails with my scale stencil and for whatever reason it just wasn't happening and I was getting SO frustrated. I finally gave up and went with chevron nails instead. I think they still came out pretty cute! I used ILNP Paige, a stunning pink holo. This is such a great summer pink and its blindingly sparkly in the sun. I used ILNP Black Orchid for my accent nail and for the chevron pattern. Black Orchid is a deep burgundy/purple holo that I'll be wearing again for sure come this fall. The gold heart is a nail decal from Born Pretty Store.

Hoping to do some more fun nail art for Friday!

Butter London Fruit Machine

Hey everyone! I'm on a roll this week with posts. Three in one week! My nails are even growing longer and I'm so happy about it. Crossing my fingers for no breakage.

I recently purchased Butter London Fruit Machine from Ulta (on sale for $10!) and couldn't wait to get it on my nails. Fruit Machine is a cool pastel pink with a pretty decent formula. I was able to get away with two coats, but you may need three if you're not using a light hand. I love the tone of this color, especially with a tan. The glitter on my middle nail is Julep Cameron and the white on my ring finger nail is Julep Keena. This is such a pretty mani for summer time. So many different color combos could work with this look too!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Kat Von D Saint & Sinner Nails

Hey everyone! How's your week going? It is HOT here. I've made it out to the pool every day but can only stand it for about an hour or so because of the heat. Five minutes into laying out and I'm sweating. Anyone else ready for fall yet?

I recently received the Kat Von D Saint & Sinner VoxBox complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster. In case you didn't know, Influenster is an online community of consumers who give reviews on products and experiences. If you are active on the site, Influenster may invite you to participate in their VoxBox programs, where members receive complimentary products to review.

Before we jump into the nails I'll quickly tell you my thoughts on the perfumes. Let's start with the one I liked best, which was Saint. The key notes in Saint are vanilla, musk, and jasmine. Although it's considered to be in the floral family, I find it to be more sweet and fresh (which is a good thing!) I definitely prefer Saint to its sister scent, Sinner. The key notes in Sinner are patchouli, wood, and cinnamon. This one is on the warm and spicy side, but honestly a little too spicy for me. These can be worn individually or layered together. I haven't tried layering them yet, but I have worn Saint alone and was pretty impressed by how long the scent lasted. If you haven't seen the bottles you have to check them out in the store or even on Sephora's website because they are a serious work of art.

Speaking of art, the bottles are what inspired me to do some Saint and Sinner nail art today! I started by alternating black and white on each nail. The white is Butter London Cotton Buds and the black is Cult Nails Nevermore (sorry guys, you can't get that one anymore since that indie brand closed shop). Once the base was dry, I went in and stamped this awesome skull from one of my Born Pretty Store stamping plates. Isn't that so pretty?!

So which side are you on - saint or sinner?

Nails Inc. Cambridge Grove

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? I had my bachelorette party and it was so much fun. We rented a house in North Fork and went on a wine tour on Saturday. It was great being with all of my closest friends and spending time together. I was so sad when the weekend ended!

Today I'm wearing Nails Inc. Cambridge Grove (I actually borrowed it from my mom). I'm loving this pastel lilac/lavender and how easy it is to apply. I think this is such a flattering color that would look good on any skin tone. The gold evil eye is a decal from Born Pretty store. I really like how simple and chic it looks!

Hope you have a great week! I'm going to take advantage of the pool in this hot weather.

Essie Bachelorette Bash

Hey everyone! How has your week been? I took a little break from painting my nails because I was having some breakage issues. I'm trying to grow them out longer but I just can't seem to keep that annoying splitting issue from happening. Anyone have any good product suggestions for that?

This weekend is my bachelorette party! I'm going with a group of friends to North Fork for a ladies weekend and I'm so excited. We'll be going wine tasting and spending some time at the beach. We're having a beachy theme and I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to use my pineapple nail charms from Polished Vino. They were super easy to put on! I just put a drop of Seche Vite top coat on the back and pressed it onto my nail. If you want longer wear I would suggest nail glue.

For my nail color I just had to use Essie Bachelorette Bash. How could I not?! This is the most gorgeous fuchsia shade and the application was amazing. When I started the first coat my first thought was "this is JUICY!" It's so glossy and beautiful. I honestly could have gotten away with one coat but went with my usual two. The lighter pink underneath the pineapple charm is Butter London Fruit Machine. I finished off this mani with some silver glitter placement. Love everything about this!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I know mine will be fabulous :)
