Zoya Purity

Happy Mani Monday and happy week off to me! It was a very exciting weekend. I leased a new Subaru Forester to replace my current one. Being an adult is weird y'all.

In honor of my new car, which I got in white, I wanted to use a white polish. I went with two coats of Zoya Purity. As far as white polish goes this one is pretty easy to apply. I'm always looking for a flawless white base, so if you have any suggestions please share! I was going to leave this as is, but I couldn't resist a tiny bit of nail art. Julep Zelda and Jane look perfect over a white base, and it was super simple and quick to create. I used some nail art tape to help create those nice crisp lines.

I hope you all have a great week! I'll be enjoying the time off for sure.

Essie Madison Ave Hue

It's Friday! Today kicks off the start of spring break. The BF is home today too, so we're going to see a movie. Since our movie theater is at the mall I may have to stop in Sephora...You know, just to buy everything browse.

I finally decided to put on a pink polish. I've been waiting for just the right moment and I thought the first weekend of spring break would be the perfect time! I chose Essie Madison Ave Hue, a hot pink with very fine silver flecks. It's a subtle effect, but really makes this polish different from other pinks in my collection. I can't say no to a good glitter, so for an accent I used Julep Yumi.

Hope you all have a great weekend! And if you're a teacher, a relaxing week off :)

Essie Blossom Dandy

Happy Mani Monday! How was your weekend? I went with some friends to Max Brenner (my fave!) for brunch on Saturday. It was soooo good, as usual. On Sunday the BF and I watched 20 Feet From Stardom, an excellent documentary about backup singers. I highly recommend it.

I'm sticking with my bright spring nail colors (for now). This is two coats of Essie Blossom Dandy, a minty aqua creme. Application is a little tricky in terms of streakiness, so you may need three coats depending on how opaque your first two coats go on. The quatrefoil pattern was made with the help of quatrefoil stencils from Vinyl It Up. I used Julep Laree as the accent color.

Hope you all have a great week!

Essie Urban Jungle & Gold Glitter Dotticure

Happy Friday! Another long week, but we made it.

For my weekend mani I chose Essie Urban Jungle, my all time favorite neutral. It always looks beautiful no matter what time of year. I used Avon Glitzy Gold for the glitter. The glitter placement was super easy, but definitely a little time consuming. I think it was worth it!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Zoya Blu

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? We were enjoying the milder weather and got outside a few times. On Sunday we tried to watch Mad Max but we gave up on it after about a half hour. It was a little too weird for us.

As I was saying in my last post, I'm definitely ready for brighter spring colors so I grabbed another Zoya polish. This shade is Zoya Blu, a pale baby blue creme that is perfect for spring. For the zig zag effect I used my mini chevron vinyls from Vinyl It Up with ILNP Summer Crush. The trick to nail vinyls is putting a top coat on your base color before using the vinyls. You also want to make sure the design is completely dry before the next layer of top coat.

Hope you all have a great week!

Zoya Neely

FRIDAY! Can you tell I'm excited? It has been a long week so I'm very happy that it's the weekend. Plus I'm ordering Mediterranean food for dinner. Yum.

The warmer weather this week made me reach for a bright spring polish. This is two coats of Zoya Neely, a pale green creme. My accent nail is Marc Jacobs Gatsby. I love love love the two colors paired together and I think next time I'll use the two for some color blocking nail art. So excited to keep breaking out the brights!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Zoya Dream

Happy Mani Monday! How was your weekend? The BF and I watched the entire new season of House of Cards even though we said we were going to stretch it out this time. Oops. But it was so so so good! Better than last season for sure.

Today I'm wearing Zoya Dream, a deep blue with a scattered holographic effect. The glitter is amazing in person, especially in the sunlight. It is definitely similar to Zoya Aurora, one of my all time favorite polishes.

I hope you all have a great week!

Essie Cashmere Bathrobe

Happy Friday! How was your week? It dragged on foreverrrr for me, whereas last week absolutely flew. Slow work weeks are the worst!

For the weekend I chose Essie Cashmere Bathrobe, a dark grey with subtle silver shimmer. I always forget about this color and then when I wear it I remember how pretty it is. Plus the shimmer makes it a little more dressed up than a plain grey creme. The glitter accent is Julep Chatoya.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
