GlitterDaze Sky's the Limit

Happy Friday! How was your week? It was HOT here so I spent a lot of time at the pool and flipping through wedding magazines to get some ideas.

The fiancé wanted to pick my polish, so he chose GlitterDaze Sky's the Limit, a gorgeous pale blue creme, from the Cloud 9 Collection. I love every single polish from this collection. They're all pale pastel cremes and the formula is amazing! I wanted to jazz it up a little, so I used Essie On a Silver Platter as an accent nail.

Have a great weekend!

Pink Ombre Nails

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? We celebrated the fiancé's birthday at Scarpetta on Saturday and then had some friends over to use the pool on Sunday.

Today I wanted to give ombre nails a go since I haven't in a loooong time. I used Butter London Cotton Buds (just a basic white polish) as a base. Once that dried, on a cosmetic sponge I painted on Butter London Trout Pout and Rainbow Honey Cameo 18. I then pressed the sponge onto each nail, starting at one side and in one motion pressing it across to the other. I did this twice for each nail. I felt like I was missing something so at the end I sponged on ILNP Summer Crush to add some sparkle. Not gonna lie, the whole process was quite a bit of work but totally worth it! Cleanup definitely would have been easier if I had some liquid latex (which I'm in the process of getting!)

Hope you all have a great week! Stay cool out there.

Julep Pepper

Hey everyone! How was your week? Today my mom and I went to look at three wedding venues. In 100 degree heat. Ugh. It was definitely overwhelming and tiring (and HOT) but we saw a couple places we really liked! I'm excited to have that part of planning out of the way soon.

Today on my nails I'm wearing Julep Pepper, a cornflower multidimensional shimmer with a hint of violet. I've read a lot of complaints about the formula for this one, but I honestly had no trouble with it. The key is using thin coats, and here I used two to get full opacity. I absolutely love this color! The shimmer makes it appear softer than a blue creme and I think it's just perfect for summer.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Gray with Pink Stripes

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? I've been busy narrowing down the wedding venue list and have some tours lined up. Hoping to have the date set and the venue selected in the next few weeks!

For today's mani the fiancé (yep, still feels super weird to say that) wanted me to use a couple of the GlitterDaze polishes that he got me. They're both from the Clould 9 Collection. I started with two coats of I'm Soar-t of a Big Deal, a pale grey creme. For the heart and the tripes I used Mile High Club, a pale coral creme. I have to be honest that I didn't think these two would look good together, but I absolutely love it! To achieve those crisp lines I just used some striping tape as a guide.

I hope you all have a great week!

Julep Lillian & Kris

Happy Friday! How has your week been? I've jumped right in to searching for wedding venues and let me tell you it is a draining process. I'll be happy to get that part of the planning out of the way.

Today on my nails I'm wearing two colors from an adorable set from Julep my mom got me as an engagement gift. The set is appropriately called You Said Yes (so cute!) and includes the colors Lillian and Kris. Lillian is a gorgeous pale white/pink creme shade while Kris is a silvery iridescent chrome. I used Lillian as the base on my nails and made a small chevron moon accent with Kris. I'm loving this subtle but beautiful nail art. Plus it makes my new bling look fab ;)

Hope you all have a great weekend!

WEI Brown Sugar Ready Glow Exfoliating Mask

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? I am so excited to share that as of Saturday the BF is now my fiancé! He had made a reservation at a restaurant in Liberty State Park and told me it was to celebrate the end of the school year. He took me a little early and we went for a walk in the park. He led me to a cute little spot that was set up by my best friend and his brother. When I turned around he got on one knee and asked me to marry him! It was such a beautiful and special moment. We are just both so overjoyed and excited!

Here's a photo of my mani and the ring. I used Nails Inc Bamboo White with a glitter accent of Julep Yumi. Obsessed with everything about this!

Today I've got a skincare product from Wei Beauty, which was gifted to me by preen.me. These little pods are the Brown Sugar Ready Glow Exfoliating Mask (phew that's a mouthful). This polishing and brightening mask, intended for all skin types, is infused with molasses from brown sugar to hydrate and gently exfoliate the skin.

Here are some benefits:
1. Sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid that promotes hydrated, younger-looking skin.
2. Molasses, a natural antioxidant found in brown sugar, helps neutralize free radical damage that can cause hyper pigmentation.
3. "Super food" Kakadu plum is rich in Vitamin C and has renowned brightening properties.

Directions:
Use 1-2 times per week or as needed.

1. Brush mask on clean wet face, avoiding the eye area.
2. Leave for 3-5 minutes.
3. Wet both hands and gently massage the whole face in upward swirling motion until sugar melts.
4. Rinse face clean with warm water. Pat dry. Follow with serum and moisturizer.
5. Rinse brush clean with warm water and soap (I just use my makeup brush cleaner) after each use and air dry for storage.

I was so impressed with this mask. Even the packaging felt super luxe - like I was at a spa. My skin is very sensitive but this was a gentle exfoliating mask that didn't irritate me at all. It left my skin feeling buttery soft and smooth. I would definitely recommend splitting each pod in half so you get two uses out of it. For my first time using these I used the whole pod and it was way too much for one mask. More bang for your buck!

You can check out more WEI Beauty skincare products on their website, www.weibeauty.com. I'm definitely looking forward to trying the other WEI products I received!

Orly Mirrorball

Hey everyone! Hope you've been having a good week so far. I've truly been enjoying this summer break from school. I get lots of time to chill by the pool and catch up on my reading list!

Of course you know I have to get some shopping in, too. The other day I stopped at Ulta because they were doing their big shampoo with the pumps deal. I passed by the clearance section and there was Orly Mirrorball! This one has been on my wish list for a quite a while. Mirrorball is a silver linear holo sprinkled with holographic glitter. The formula was a little sheer but I was able to build it to full opacity in three thin coats. I am super impressed with this one considering it's a mainstream polish!

Hope you have an easy Friday tomorrow and a fantastic weekend!

4th of July Mani

Happy Fourth of July weekend! Hope you're all enjoying it so far. The BF and I have been busy getting our apartment cleaned up to have a few friends over on Monday (plus it was way over due for some serious dusting).

To get in the festive spirit, I spent a long ass time on a patriotic nail design today. The only tools I needed for this were striping tape and a dotting tool. The red is Zoya Sooki, the blue is Essie Butler Please, the white is Butter London Cotton Buds, and the silver holo is ILNP Mega (X). On my other hand the glitter is Julep America. As you can see I like my variety of brands. Despite the time consuming effort, I absolutely love how these came out and hope they stay fresh until Monday!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Stay safe and enjoy some fireworks.

xoxo,
