Influenster Ole Henriksen VoxBox

Hey everyone! I was so excited to be selected for the Ole Henriksen VoxBox from Influenster. Influenster is an online community of consumers who give reviews on products and experiences. If you are active on the site, Influenster may invite you to participate in their VoxBox programs, where members receive complimentary products to review.

The Balance line is powered by Green Fusion Complex, neem seed oil, and AHAs. Green Fusion Complex is Ole Henriksen's proprietary blend of potent active botanicals - green tea, eucalyptus, algae, Irish moss extracts - with natural antiseptic properties that help absorb excess oil and refine pores. Here are the claims: controls oil, mattifies, refines pores.

Here's what your regimen would look like with these three products:

1. Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser - I like to use a dime size amount of this first thing in the morning. It rinses up to a great lather and leaves my face feeling clean and fresh.

2. Balancing Force Oil Control Toner - After cleansing, I squeeze some toner onto a cotton pad and wipe my face and neck. Again, this product is very refreshing and I have found that it has helped keep my oil production under control. I'll be interested to see how it does in the summer months.

3. Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator - This moisturizer is the last step in the routine. The first thing I noticed was how amazingly light it was. It really is not greasy at all and doesn't linger on my skin, therefore helping control oiliness. It is perfect to wear under foundation because of this.

The verdict? I'm definitely impressed by this skincare line. All three products have an invigorating eucalyptus-peppermint scent that is just perfect for waking up in the morning and feeling refreshed. I would say that come summer time these are must try products for staying fresh and oil-free. Out of all three the toner is definitely my favorite. Definitely check out www.influenster.com if you're interested in receiving free products (who isn't?!)

   Brooke

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

Zoya Zanna

Happy Mani Monday AND first day of spring! I wish I could push the fast forward button on this week because on Saturday we're going to Universal Orlando and I cannot wait! It will kind of be like my reward for getting through parent teacher conferences.

I've been looking for a good excuse to pull out my stamper again, so that's what I did today. I started with two coats of Zoya Zanna as my base. Zanna is a light rose-mauve pink creme. This is such a chic and classy color that I think anyone could pull off. I then used a floral image plate from Born Pretty Store to stamp on my nails with OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. Isn't it such a pretty combo? It really is perfect for spring.

Btw, when you place an order with BPS make sure you use my discount code ASYW10 for 10% off! Enjoy the rest of your week!

ILNP Rosewater

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? On Saturday we went to our favorite place, Max Brenner. They had nachos as a special menu item and they were soooo delicious. For dessert I ordered another special menu item - hazelnut affogato. Yum!

A couple of weeks ago I placed a small pre-order from ILNP to get two colors from their new spring collection and of course The Magician aka Unicorn Pee aka omg I'm so excited to have this pigment in my hands! I'll be wearing it very soon, but I want to find the perfect color(s) to put it over.

Today I'm wearing Rosewater, which is a part of the Color Kissed Ultra Holo collection for spring 2017. The shades in this collection have been formulated to be worn alone or layered over other polishes. Here I'm just wearing it alone and I used two coats plus top coat, although you may need 3 for full opacity depending on how you apply it. Rosewater has a crazy rainbow of holographic pigments and radiates hues of gold and a red that leans more pink. It is seriously stunning, especially in the sun as you'll see below. I went a liiiiiiittle bit photo crazy, but every angle looking amazing!

Hope you're having a relaxing Sunday. Have a great week!

OPI Suzi Without a Paddle

Hey everyone! How was your week? I'm sure all of you teachers out there are also counting down the days until spring break. We've got PT conferences coming up and I'm ready to power through them and get myself one step closer to the end of the school year.

I recently saw swatches of the OPI Fiji Collection for spring 2017 on Instagram and absolutely fell in love with Suzi Without a Paddle. This is just one of those classic light minty blue cremes and is a breeze to apply. I was able to get away with two coats here, but you may find that you need three in order to get full opacity depending on how light of a hand you're using. I have a feeling this bottle will be getting a lot of love this spring.

By the way, the rose nail decals are from Born Pretty Store and come in gold and silver!

Enjoy your weekend!

Brooke

OPI Black Dress Not Optional

Hey everyone I'm BAAAAAACK! My index finger nail is finally looking normal which means I can start painting my nails again. I would say that nail still has a bit of growing to do, but it made me so happy to sit down and get some polish on.

I let the fiancé choose my colors for this one. He picked OPI Black Dress Not Optional and Orly Mirrorball for my chevron accent nail. Apparently Black Dress Not Optional is from the Breakfast at Tiffany's Collection which I didn't know until after I purchased it. I love the name of this polish! I would describe this shade as a shimmery charcoal grey. You need two coats for this one as the first coat is pretty sheer.

I'm so excited to be back and have so many polishes that I can't wait to use!

xoxo,

Brooke
