Gradient Dotticure

Hey everyone! Hope you've been having a good week. It's super hot here so I've kind of been staying inside and getting ready for Italy.

I decided to do one more fun mani before we go away. I knew I wanted to use Julep Francine, a seagrass iridescent chrome packed with shimmer. I started grabbing other polishes with a similar finish to create a gradient dotticure. I chose Alex, Aphrodite, and Pepper.

Doing a gradient dotticure is super easy as long as you have some sort of dotting tool. You don't even need a fancy nail one! You can just use the end of a bobby pin. The next step is creating various sizes of dots, focusing on going from larger to smaller. You can start your design at the tip of the nail like I did, or you can go in the other direction starting at the cuticle.

I love this look and I already have ideas for other colors I want to try it with! I won't be posting again for about two weeks while I'm away, but you can see some of our Italy experiences on my personal Instagram account: @brookessunshine

Ciao!

Nails Inc. Holler-Graphic

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? We spent a long weekend in Montauk with the husband's family and enjoyed our time out in the sun and of course eating lots of good seafood. I'm going to be super busy this week doing laundry from the beach and then preparing for our big Italy trip! We'll be gone for two weeks, so I'll probably only post one more time before we go.

I was placing a Sephora order last week and noticed that the Nails Inc. Holler-Graphic collection was discounted and decided to order the shade Get Out of My Space. It's described as a full-coverage lilac purple holographic glitter with a 3D rainbow effect. I have to say that I love seeing mainstream companies putting out holo polishes. Here I applied two coats to reach full opacity.

Not bad Nails Inc! I would say that some of my indie polishes blow me away more with their holo effect, but I do think this color is super pretty. Have a great week!

xoxo,
