GlitterDaze Cloud 9 Collection

Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a great week so far. If you follow me on Instagram (@manicurediaryblog) you saw that the BF ordered me the whole Cloud 9 Collection from GlitterDaze as an end of the year gift for surviving my first full year of teaching. He knew I was eyeing these for a while - so sweet!

These 6 pastel cremes were released for spring. They would look beautiful on their own or as a base for nail art. Today I've got swatches of the whole collection, lots of photos below! For each photo I used two coats - no top coat. For creme polishes, these were incredibly easy to work with and dry time was phenomenal. I was really impressed with the formula. These would look great with your regular glossy top coat or a matte top coat.

I'm Soar-t of a Big Deal - pale grey creme

Sky's the Limit - pale blue creme

Come Fly With Me - pale lavender creme

Ready, Set, Jet - pale warm nude creme

Mile High Club - pale coral pink creme

Up, Up, and Away - pale cool toned pink creme

I absolutely love all of these polishes, but my top picks would have to be Come Fly With Me, Mile High Club, and Up, Up, and Away (big shocker, I love the pinks and purple haha). You can check out all of these gorgeous shades at shopglitterdaze.com.

Leopard Print Nails

Hey everyone! This has got to be my first Wednesday post in about a year. I guess this is what happens when you're a teacher off for summer break! Yesterday was my last day of school and I'm already enjoying vacation.

Today I thought I'd do some fun nail art. I went with leopard print over a base of two coats of Butter London Cotton Buds - an opaque white creme that is super easy to work with. I love leopard print because it looks fancy but it's SO easy! First, I used a detail brush and made messy dots with a rose gold metallic shade. This time I did kind of a half moon shape on all of my nails, but you can cover your whole nail or just do one as an accent. Next, I used the same detail brush with black polish to make thin black lines curving around randomly on the spots. Give your nails at least 10-15 minutes of dry time before you apply the top coat to avoid causing streaks in your design (the longer the better!)

Looking forward to posting more often during my summer break!

TRESemmé VoxBox - Reverse Your Routine!

Hey everyone! I recently received the TRESemmé VoxBox from Influenster. Influenster is an online community of consumers who give reviews on products and experiences. If you are active on the site, Influenster may invite you to participate in their VoxBox programs, where members receive complimentary products to review.

Inside this VoxBox are two products from the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume collection - a haircare system specially designed to work in reverse. Condition first then shampoo for soft and touchable volume. I absolutely love the idea of this because my hair always gets so FLAT!

Step 1: Condition
Smooth 2-3 pumps of TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner through wet hair, and let it work its magic for minute or so.

Step 2: Shampoo
After rinsing out the conditioner, lather up with TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Reverse System Shampoo.

The verdict? I'm pleasantly surprised! I found my hair wasn't AS frizzy as usual when I let it air dry and I could see a difference in volume. I also don't see why this concept wouldn't work with other brands of shampoo and conditioner, though that's something I would have to test out.

Definitely check out www.influenster.com if you're interested in receiving free products (who isn't?!)

Hope you all have a fast and easy week! This is my last full week of school!!!

xoxo,
   Brooke

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

Julep Adrian

Happy Friday! We made it through another week which included field day AND a field trip to the beach the next day. Whew. One week to go plus two half days and we are done with the school year.

Last week I received my Julep box for June. Nothing too exciting, I really just needed the cleanup tool so I put that in my box with Your Lip Addiction (a lip oil) in the shade Obsessed. If you've been contemplating trying a lip oil I would definitely give these a shot. I really love the non-sticky formula and the hint of color added to my lips.

As for nail polish, I realized that I don't have a yellow in my collection and I thought it was time to change that so I also added Adrian to my box. Adrian is a lovely daffodil yellow creme. The formula was a little on the thick side, but pretty easy to work with and I applied two coats here. This shade screamed for some nail art so I used Julep Something Blue with my dotting tool to make some simple flowers and dots. Easy breezy!

Have a fantastic weekend! I'll be enjoying the weather for sure.

ILNP Mega (X)

Happy Mani Monday! How was your weekend? We went to see Popstar and it was absolutely hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a while!

Last week I had ordered two new pretties from ILNP. The one I have on my nails today is Mega (X). This is the ultimate holographic polish with silver micro flakes. I used three coats here because I could still see a touch of visible nail line with two coats. If you're looking for the perfect holo, look no further because this is the one!

I hope you all have a great week!
