Smith & Cult Suburban Warrior

Hey everyone! How was your week? I finally had some time just to relax and do nothing, something all teachers need to do when the year ends!

Tonight the husband and I are going to a Sam Smith concert at Madison Square Garden. I wanted to do something pretty on my nails, so I reached for Smith & Cult Suburban Warrior. This is described as an opaque watermelon radish, but I simply see it as a deep hot pink. As with all Smith & Cult polishes I've used, the formula is perfection! To jazz these up I did a little glitter on the tips with Julep Yumi, but you could really use any glitter you like.

Have a great weekend and stay cool!

Watermelon Nails

Hey everyone! As of last Thursday I'm officially on summer break! It was a crazy week packing up the room and my nails took a bit of a beating so they're a little short right now. Over the weekend we went to a wedding in Lake George and it was so nice to get away for a few days.

Now that my summer has started I'm kicking it off with these fun watermelon nails. My base is Zoya Dixie, a juicy watermelon creme. I used a Born Pretty Store stamping plate to get the watermelon designs and I love how it cam out. So cute for summer!

Hope you all have a great week!

Live Love Polish Party Favor

Hey everyone! I haven't posted in a while because it's been so crazy getting ready for the end of the school year. Our official last day is next Thursday and it can't come soon enough. We're all ready for summer break.

Last week on National Nail Polish Day I placed an order from Live Love Polish to get the limited edition shade Party Favor as a gift with purchase. Party Favor is described a s pink tinted jelly base filled with different sizes of silver holo glitters. I needed two coats for full coverage. This glitter is textured and it definitely ate all of my top coat (does anyone have a recommendation for a good top coat for glitter?) but it is still beautiful and SPARKLY! These pictures really don't do it justice because it's truly blinding.

 So. Sparkly.

Although this shade was limited edition, there are still so many gorgeous Live Love Polish shade's to choose from :) Have a great weekend!

Gold Pineapple Nails

Hey everyone! How was your week? It was a long one for me despite having Monday off for Memorial Day. We also took our second graders on a field trip to the beach on a bit of a rainy day so I'm exhausted. I'll get to relax a bit this weekend before a wedding we have on Sunday.

In honor of National Nail Polish Day, I decided to do some fun nail art! I have a thing for pineapples and I have no idea how it started because I actually don't like the taste of them. Weird, right? For these pineapple nails I started with a base of Butter London Cotton Buds, one of my favorite white polishes that's opaque in 2 coats.

The glitter is called Rise & Grind from the Nails Inc Caffeine Hit collection. It smells like coffee when it dries! I love this glitter and I think maybe for Sunday I'll do all my nails with this one. I did the stamping last with a plate from Born Pretty Store and Marc Jacobs Gatsby. How cute is this look? So summery and fun.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Nails Inc Flock You Duo

Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a great long weekend. We've been mostly enjoying eating (as usual) and doing some shopping. I came down with a cold on Friday so I've also been trying to rest up and get my energy back for the home stretch of the school year.

I recently picked up the newest nail polish duo from Nails Inc and I think this is my favorite one they've done so far! I grabbed mine at Sephora - it's the Flock You duo. Right now it's showing as sold out online, but I saw plenty in stock at my local Sephora the other day so definitely check yours out if you're interested. The set has two full sized perfect for summer colors for $15.

The first of the two bright shades is Birds Before Boys, a pink foil that shifts to green-gold. The second shade is Anything Flamingoessss, a full coverage neon pink (and I mean NEON people). I have to say, as with all Nails Inc polishes, the wide brush is awesome and makes application super easy. I tried layering the foil color over the neon pink and it looked great, which makes this set versatile! Love a color that can be worn full coverage or as a topper.

What do you think of this set? Are you planning on picking one up? I'm looking forward to seeing the next set Nails Inc puts out for sure!

Pastel Nails

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend despite the rainy weather. We took some time to relax and get some things done around the apartment.

Sometimes I let the hubby choose my polish, and he usually ends up picking blue. This time he picked out two GlitterDaze polishes in the colors Sky's the Limit and Come Fly With Me. I love these beautiful pastel cremes! I used nail stencils to make the little tulips, but it got a little sloppy when I tried to outline with black. I still think it looks cute!

Hope you all have a great week! I know I'm looking forward to the long Memorial Day weekend.

Cactus Nails

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? We had Mother's Day lunch with my fam on Saturday and then had a chill Sunday. It's nice to have a day for down time, especially as we get close to the end of the school year and things can get a little hectic.

I recently got these sweet little cactus decals from Julep and couldn't wait to try them out! Cute right?

I realized that Zoya Ness would pair perfectly with these. Ness is a soft jade green creme that applies nicely in two coats. Underneath those decals I'm wearing Butter London Lillibet's Jubilee, a silvery lilac foil that is one of my all time favorites. I love love love these nails!

Hope you all have a great week!
