Essie Butler Please & On a Silver Platter

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? The  BF and I spent all of Saturday watching the new season of House of Cards. SO GOOD. That's all I will say. You need to watch! We ate like absolute shit, so this week I'll be cutting way back on the unhealthy foods.

I'm sitting in my room watching the snow fall outside as I write this post. It's so beautiful! But it's also March 1st so...yeah. As I said last week I am so ready for the warm weather and bright nail colors.

I recently picked up Butler Please and I'm so excited to finally have it on my nails. I was a little concerned about application at first because the first coat was very watery and patchy. My worries disappeared after the second coat, which evened everything out. Butler Please is a stunningly vivid blue creme. I can't wait to wear this on my toes in the summer! I decided to pair it with On a Silver Platter, which is a sheer gold base with blue glitter. My only gripe with this polish is that I had to use four coats, and even then I didn't have full opacity. Next time I'll layer it over something.

The chevrons were made with the help of the mini chevron vinyls from Vinyl It Up. Way easier than trying to free hand them!

Hope you all have a great start to the week. I'll be back on Wednesday with my February favorites!

xoxo,
   Brooke
